Jesus Washes His Disciples’ Feet

Today we see many Ruling party leaders and Opponent Party leaders pictured themselves like they feeding the needy, they help the poor, they serving food to their own party members.

These are only photo stills and they make publicized that their leader is such a good kind of person.

Jesus wash his disciples feet while having his last supper, the night before JESUS was getting crucified, JESUS knew very well that in the same night only Judas Iscariot going to betray him, But JESUS washed Judas Iscariot feet too. JESUS knew very well that in the same night only, Simon Peter going to denies JESUS and curse JESUS before others, But JESUS washed Simon Peter feet too, Jesus knew very well that in the same night only, all the 12 disciples were run away from him, Because the time of Arresting Jesus is yet to come, He wash all the 12 disciples feet. This is the love of God. This character or altitude will never come to any human being Because (JESUS)HE is Lord, He loves all the disciples, even though they going to do evil to him but still he loves them all.

Similarly whatever evil things we does in our life…. Jesus still loves us…………At the time of JESUS saves the woman caught in adultery, Jesus said unto her, Neither do I condemn you: go, and sin no more.”….JESUS HATES THE SIN NOT THE SINNER….. He cant able to HATE anyone in this world. He is in the form of Love.

One thing I understand here, Jesus wash his 12 disciples feet inside a room while having their meal where the (12+1)13 stayed alone in a room not before the public.

Jesus even though a King of universe humbles him before his disciples.

The people mocks…. Jesus at the time he hanging in the Cross…. If you are the Really Son of God come down from the cross…

But Jesus prayed his Father to forgive those who are crucifying him, by saying, “Father Forgive these people that they don’t know what they are doing… “.

The people mocks Jesus is the head of devil (Payal Saboo), at that situation HE not argues with them.

The people asked the disciples of Jesus, why your master is always with the sinners and drunkards…..
On hearing this, Jesus said to them, “It is not the healthy who need a doctor, but the sick. I have not come to call the righteous, but sinners.”

John 13:1-17 (New International Version)

Jesus Washes His Disciples’ Feet

1 It was just before the Passover Festival. Jesus knew that the hour had come for him to leave this world and go to the Father. Having loved his own who were in the world, he loved them to the end.

2 The evening meal was in progress, and the devil had already prompted Judas, the son of Simon Iscariot, to betray Jesus. 3 Jesus knew that the Father had put all things under his power, and that he had come from God and was returning to God; 4 so he got up from the meal, took off his outer clothing, and wrapped a towel around his waist. 5 After that, he poured water into a basin and began to wash his disciples’ feet, drying them with the towel that was wrapped around him.

6 He came to Simon Peter, who said to him, “Lord, are you going to wash my feet?”

7 Jesus replied, “You do not realize now what I am doing, but later you will understand.”

8 “No,” said Peter, “you shall never wash my feet.”

Jesus answered, “Unless I wash you, you have no part with me.”

9 “Then, Lord,” Simon Peter replied, “not just my feet but my hands and my head as well!”

10 Jesus answered, “Those who have had a bath need only to wash their feet; their whole body is clean. And you are clean, though not every one of you.” 11 For he knew who was going to betray him, and that was why he said not every one was clean.

12 When he had finished washing their feet, he put on his clothes and returned to his place. “Do you understand what I have done for you?” he asked them. 13 “You call me ‘Teacher’ and ‘Lord,’ and rightly so, for that is what I am. 14 Now that I, your Lord and Teacher, have washed your feet, you also should wash one another’s feet. 15 I have set you an example that you should do as I have done for you. 16 Very truly I tell you, no servant is greater than his master, nor is a messenger greater than the one who sent him. 17 Now that you know these things, you will be blessed if you do them.

The people mocks…. BIBLE->MATTHEW 27:42 says “He(JESUS) saved others,” they said, “but he(JESUS) can’t save himself! He’s the King of Israel! Let him come down now from the cross, and we will believe in him.

IF HE COME DOWN FROM THE CROSS, NO HUMAN WILL GET THE ETERNAL LIFE AFTER DEATH. JESUS ONE AND ONLY PURPOSE CAME TO THIS WORLD IS TO DIE IN THE CROSS ON BEHALF OF AL THE SINS OF HUMANS. BIBLE SAYS, AT LAST JESUS WHISPERED THESE WORDS BEFORE HIS DEATH, “EVERYTHING FINISHED”. TO FULFILL THE FATHER IN HEAVEN WILL, HE OBEYS TO HIS FATHER UNTIL HIS DEATH. SO FATHER IN HEAVEN RISES HIM FROM DEATH AT THE THIRD DAY AND GIVEN HIM THE NAME ABOVE ALL THE NAMES AND EVERY KNEE SHALL BOW BEFORE JESUS EVERY TONGUE SHOULD PROCLAIM THAT JESUS IS THE LORD.

Jesus is an example of humility

Lust of Eye, Lust of Flesh, Pride of Man are the three sins to make a man fall into the sin.

In this Post, we will learn the difference between pride and humility and how Jesus is our example of humility.

I. God resists the proud but gives grace to the humble.
A. James 4:6 – “God resists (stands against, opposes, hinders) the proud (arrogant,
smug), but gives grace (help, aid, assistance, ability) to the humble.”
B. James 4:7 – “Therefore submit to God. Resist the devil and he will flee from you.”
C. 1 Peter 5:5-6 – Submit to God, resist the devil. God wants to exalt you, not you exalt
yourself. He will exalt you in His way and in His due time.

II. Jesus is our example of humility – Philippians 2:5-11.
A. Verse 8 – “And being found in appearance as a man, He(Jesus) humbled Himself and became obedient to the point of death, even the death of the cross.”

Jesus even though a King of universe humbles him before his disciples.

One thing here I understand is Jesus wash his 12 disciples feet inside a room while having their meal where the (12+1)13 stayed alone in a room not before the public.

The people mocks…. BIBLE->MATTHEW 27:42 says “He(JESUS) saved others,” they said, “but he(JESUS) can’t save himself! He’s the King of Israel! Let him come down now from the cross, and we will believe in him.

B. 1 John 2:15-16 – Three temptations to overcome: lust of the eyes, lust of the flesh, and pride of life.

III. Where did pride originate?
A. Isaiah 14:12-17 – Pride originated with Lucifer, the devil. Five times he said, “I will.”

IV. The solution for pride.
A. Matthew 18:1-4 – The disciples asked Jesus who would be greatest in the kingdom of
heaven. He called a child to Himself and said, “Whoever humbles himself as this little
child is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven.”

BE A DOER OF THE WORD
This week examine our own life in the light of these seven contrasts between pride and humility. Choose to be a person who walks in humility; that God may be exalted.
(1) Pride sings the song, “How great you are.” Humility sings, “How Great God Is.”
(2) Pride refuses to worship and give God glory and honor, but humility is unashamed to praise,
honor and glorify the King of the universe.
(3) Pride is concerned with what other people think; humility is concerned with what God thinks.
(4) Pride refuses to ask for help; humility asks God for help.
(5) Pride is exaltation of self; humility is exaltation of God.
(6) Pride makes its own way; humility chooses God’s way.
(7) Pride wants the credit for the good things done; humility gives God glory for all good things.
SCRIPTURE MEMORY VERSE: James 4:6 – “God resists the proud, but gives grace to the
humble.”
